In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

A trip to the beach and an evening street food tour awaits but first a little culture. I’ve seen photos of the incredible baroque interior of the Casa Professa church in Ballaro and the real thing didn’t disappoint. They don’t make ‘em like they used to.
