This time last week I spent the morning wandering around La Flotte, a low-key small town on the island of Il De Re. Some concern now that travel to France may be curtailed, let’s hope not - no-one does shabby chic quite like the French.
In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.
