After yesterday’s inconclusive vigil, some sustenance is required to tackle the day. Café Royal offers one of the biggest and best breakfasts around, a rather different affair to its namesake on Piccadilly.
In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.
