In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Our local pub, The Griffin on Leonard Street is a cracker - a good selection of beers, busy but not oppressively so and always a pleasant spot to while away an hour or two. It’s equally charming on the outside with this lovely Victorian tiled exterior.
