In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Cricket

I’ve just about finished reading Michael Hendersons’ ‘That Will Be England Gone’, an elegy to cricket, and to an England now long past. Beautifully written but at times curmudgeonly, it’s conclusion is perfectly timed with the resumption of test cricket this week. Predictably enough the first day was pretty much a wash-out but by today, a milky sun has made an appearance and TMS is on the radio. Settling in at the studio for a full day’s listening pleasure.
