In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Holiday time, a long weekend in La Belle France. En route to the Vendee I stopped for lunch in Rouen. France is ahead of the UK in most things and mask wearing became obligatory here last week inside all public spaces. Still, the weathers good, the food and wine excellent and life is returning back to…well, the new normal at least.
