In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Like last Friday, a stinking hot day that gives way to to a steamy, humid evening. I love these kind of days, when London feels more like New York, or Bangkok. For today’s photo though I’ve dipped back into the archives for this image of a street hawker in the sleepy town of Battambang in Cambodia. Great colours and a little motion blur adds to the drama.
