In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Brick Lane is an intriguing area, it’s been a while since I was last there and there has been a noticeable change, particular around the Truman Brewery but it’s still at heart an inner-city neighbourhood right in the shadow of the City of London.
