In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Today is the day for the King of the Classics, my favourite race of the year, the Tour of Flanders. I rode this (as an amateur) back in 2014, a great day out even after a spectacular session on the Belgian Ale the night before.. My last visit was back in May last year and included a visit to the Ridley Factory, manufactures of these rather natty Belgium team bike frames.
