In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

All the way back to 2012 for today’s image, taken on a post-London 2012 holiday to Morocco. Wandering through some back alleys in the Kasbah of Tamdught I saw this doorway with a sign pointing that way. No context of further explanation required. No doubt foreign travel will return at some time in the future but for now it’s a virtual experience.
