In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

I enjoyed this recent series of photos of the cafes and restaurants along the A1 in the eighties, I used to travel the same road on my way to University in Newcastle around the same time. After the glories of E. Pellice a few days ago the cafe offering here is a little more humdrum but undeterred I shot the counter at Cafe Ola on Chase Road.
