In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

An ‘end of days’ feel about the weather today. Park Royal is home to countless food importers, supermarkets and sweet shops from all over the Levant. Despite that, there are few decent eating options but Little Beirut is an honourable exception - a peerless felafel wrap lifts the spirits on an otherwise gloomy outlook.
