In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

The hottest day of the year so far, 28deg C in the back garden this afternoon. A little work in the morning, some calls and then lunch. The afternoon spent reading Jonathan Franzen’s Freedom (oh, the irony!) and catching up on emails. Cooler now we hit early evening but all in all, a pretty lovely day. Tomorrow I head back over to Shoreditch for one last trip to the old studio and then a ride back through town along the river for a change of scenery.
