In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

A lot going on here on Sclater Street, just off Bethnal Green Road. I was drawn to the headless figure in ski-boots and a made up a frame with the alligator and the ‘64’. I only noticed the tag line ‘Smile More Often’ whilst uploading the image. Wise words.
