In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Every morning I think I’ll have time to pop out and take some photos, a trip to the river or a short bike ride somewhere to clear the head. But, we live in febrile times and each day is filled with frantic attempts to keep the business functioning, particularly Milltag. I didn’t make it out today - having shown the loft yesterday, here is the view from the window looking South over the gardens of West London.
