In June 2022 I took on the inaugural Transalp 1200, a bike ride through northern Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The 1250km event started and finished in Verona and took in the South Tirol, the Sillian and Julian Alps along the way.

Back to June 2018, glorious Summer of England’s World Cup run to the semi finals. I was in football-mad Peru for the knock-out stages, sadly the home nation hadn’t made it but it was a fun place to enjoy the tournament,ent as it unfolded. I took this photo on a visit to the old convent of Peru’s second city, Antequera, a more appealing place than Lima in many ways.
