Kep
I went to Cambodia back in 2015 and it was a fascinating trip. The people are friendly, it’s cheap to get around and there’s plenty to see and do. It’s recent history hangs heavy though, it’s still the poorest country in SE Asia and grinding poverty is apparent wherever you go. The coastal town of Kep was a favourite amongst the Khmer Rouge elite and their former villas line the hills around the bay, now delapidated and left to rot in the tropical heat. I took a bike trip around the windswept bay and this is where this photo originates.
