The lights are on but nobody’s at home. Riding through Oxford Street and the centre of the city this past week has been strange, like a perpetual Christmas Eve with everyone elsewhere and everything shuttered awaiting the resumption of real life. Oh well, only 9 days until the pubs reopen at least.
